Painless Biological Dentistry – Why It’s Different than Sedation or “Painless Needle”

A lot of dentists offer “painless dentistry”. But WaterLase Painless Biological Dentistry is different.

Sedation dentistry is painless, but at what price?  Have you seen the YouTube video “Sedated Child”? It’s funny to watch, but general anesthesia is not without its potentially serious risks, especially for children. Even anesthesiologists admit that.

The same is true  for local anesthetic. While a dentist may insist that “My shots don’t hurt,” they will leave you with a numb lip. Children can bite and injure their own lip or cheek when anesthetized.  And it’s certainly inconvenient for anyone not to be able to eat, drink, or talk until the numbness wears off.

We believe that the fewer foreign substances you put in your body the better. That’s why we call WaterLase treatment Painless Biological Dentistry. It is about as non-invasive as you can get. All that touches your tooth is cool laser light and a gentle spray of water. The difference is plain to see in high-speed video comparing the drill and WaterLase.

WaterLase doesn’t cause heat, grinding, vibration or pressure – the effects of the dreaded drill that cause pain. It doesn’t make that awful drill noise either!

Not all WaterLase cavity preparations can be done without anesthetic, but most can. No matter how anxious you are about having a cavity fixed, or how sensitive you believe your teeth are, you should find a dentist who offers WaterLase treatment and ask the dentist to use it on you if appropriate!

If you’ve had unpleasant experiences at the dentist before, you will naturally expect more of the same. Get ready for a totally different experience with WaterLase! Find a WaterLase Dentist now at WaterLase.com.
