EPIC Spotlight: Chelsea Stangl, D.D.S.

Dr. Chelsea Stangl has been an EPIC Laser Dentist for the past three years where she uses her laser for a variety of dental procedures that have increased production and significantly positively impacted the patient experience in her practice. At Wynkoop Dental, the first Certified Green Dental Practice in the city of Denver, Colorado, Dr. Stangl and her team offer a variety of services, however laser dentistry has become the center of her practice.

ChelseaheadshotEPIC laser whitening is the one whitening system Dr. Stangl is proud to recommend to her patients. It provides the least amount of sensitivity and offers great results for her patients. Since she and her team went to the WCLI Symposium in Vail, Colorado in 2014, hygiene production has increased significantly, with a 90% patient acceptance rate for Laser Bacterial Reduction (LBR). “LBR offers our patients a clean slate when it comes to their periodontal care,” said Dr. Chelsea Stangl, “The treatment decreases discomfort and puffiness associated with poor oral hygiene and helps their gums look amazing,” she added, “We now have patients coming in asking for laser treatment, this is great benefit to our patients and the increase in production is a nice bonus.”

In 2015, Dr. Stangl added WaterLase Dentistry into her practice and has been amazed with the results. One of the most rewarding procedures in her practice has been performing frenectomies on infants. Releasing a frenum on an infant has a multitude of benefits for children who are having trouble nursing and their mothers. Dr. Stangl mentioned that parents have come as far as 150 miles to seek treatment for their babies who are having trouble nursing. “The treatment is quick, relatively painless, and the parents leave happy with the results.” said Dr. Stangl.

Dr. Stangl graduated with honors from the University of Southern California. After taking a year off to ski in Tahoe, she headed east to attend Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Cum Laude. After graduating, she moved to Colorado, where eventually she decided to open up her own practice. Dr. Stangl and her husband live close by in the Denver Highlands. Their son, Calvin, was born in December 2013 and they will be welcoming baby boy #2 in July 2016.  She loves living and working in Denver and has enjoyed building her practice in a vibrant, growing community.
