Waterlase Exclusive Trial Program: The Best Investment for My General Dental Practice

By Dr. Araceli Stout

I participated in the Waterlase Exclusive Trial Program (WETP) last year, after hearing about the program from a friend who utilizes dental laser technology. The program made a lasting impression on me, and ultimately led me to adopt BIOLASE dental laser technology into my practice.

The program’s focus on education was tremendously valuable, especially for those who had never handled a dental laser before. I was amazed at how advanced the technology has become over the years. During my participation in the program, I learned how to use the Waterlase dental laser for a myriad of treatments, including prepping teeth in patients from adolescence to geriatric, to treating the most severe dental cases such as gingival hyperplasia.

The BIOLASE team was very gracious every step of the way, with an endless amount of patience for questions big and small. Through WETP, I was able to complete soft tissue treatments such as gingivectomies, crown lengthening, and periodontal treatments, which would have typically taken hours with traditional tools.

The hands-on experience proved to be an added benefit for my practice as well. My team learned how the laser technology works, how to best interact with the patient while performing different treatments, and various settings and techniques. The BIOLASE team was gracious every step of the way, with an endless amount of patience for questions big and small. This collaborative environment was very impressive for me and my entire team. Just like “bedside manners” make a difference with my patients, the experience I had with the staff moved the needle for me and my team. I even brought my daughter to a session, and the BIOLASE team taught her a few fun “tricks” with dental lasers!

More Treatment, Less Time

Through WETP, I was able to complete soft tissue treatments such as gingivectomies, crown lengthening, and periodontal treatments, which would have typically taken hours with traditional tools. There were also procedures I never imagined using dental lasers for in my practice, such as doing more endodontic work and treating TMJ. These applications only bolstered my confidence in the new technology.

BIOLASE dental lasers allow me to be precise, accurate, and efficient when delivering treatment. While this certainly makes the process easier on my patients both physically and mentally, it also can benefit them financially. I am able to do more procedures in one sitting versus the patient needing to return multiple times, they are able to save with fewer appointments/visits, save on travel, time away from work, childcare, etc. Additionally, dental lasers also help me keep more patient treatments in-house.

Never looking back

I invested in BIOLASE, not only for the return on investment but to truly make a difference for my patients. My employees were thrilled and surprised to see the immediate results that accompanied the lasers, as well as the improvement in the overall health of many of their patients.

Since adopting BIOLASE dental lasers into my practice I’ve seen a positive and lasting difference in rapport with patients. I provide better care, which results in better patient satisfaction. By integrating these new techniques, my team and I have further expanded our skill set while also keeping costs low for my community. I highly recommend investing in BIOLASE dental lasers for anyone interested in advanced dental treatments, and the WETP for anyone considering dental lasers for the first time. This was the best investment I have ever made in my career.
